About this trip

Punta Gorda Inshore & Nearshore Fishing Charters

Charlotte Harbor is the second largest estuary in Florida, and it is water Capt. Glenn knows intimately. Inshore days work the lush grass flats, the winding mangrove islands, the scenic bays and the passes, targeting snook, redfish, speckled trout, tarpon, pompano, jack crevalle, black drum and mangrove snapper depending on the season.

Nearshore days run out through the pass to structure for grouper, cobia, king mackerel and Spanish mackerel. Which way the day goes depends on the season, the conditions, the tides and what you want out of it.

All rods, reels, tackle, bait and licenses are included. The 24 foot Pathfinder carries up to six guests comfortably.

Where the day goes

Fish Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island & the Nearshore Gulf

Whether you’re after calm inshore action or bigger fish just offshore, Capt. Glenn builds each trip around your goals, what’s biting, and where conditions are best. There’s no need to choose in advance. He’ll make the call based on tides, weather and your preferences.

One Fishery. Endless Possibilities.

Charlotte Harbor is one of Florida’s largest estuaries, with miles of shoreline, hidden creeks and vibrant grass flats. Just outside the passes, wrecks and reefs in the nearshore Gulf attract hard fighting gamefish. You might fish the mangrove shorelines and grass flats of Pine Island Sound, explore the open waters of Charlotte Harbor, or head into the Gulf to target structure holding species.

Your trip might include:

  • Drifting flats for snook, redfish or trout
  • Fishing mangrove edges with live bait
  • Targeting Boca Grande or Redfish Pass on a moving tide
  • Dropping baits on Gulf structure for snapper, grouper or cobia

Glenn reads the water, tracks the bite, and tailors every trip for maximum action and enjoyment.
